Professor Chris Griffiths OBE is one of the world’s most distinguished dermatologists. Chris Griffiths is Emeritus Professor of Dermatology, University of Manchester, Adjunct Professor, King’s College London and a Consultant Dermatologist, King’s College Hospital. He qualified in medicine from St Thomas’ Hospital Medical School, London and trained in dermatology at St Mary’s Hospital, London and the University of Michigan before appointment to the Foundation Chair of Dermatology at The University of Manchester

He has received many international awards including In 2015, he received the Sir Archibald Gray Medal for outstanding service to British Dermatology, in 2016 the Society for Cosmetic Chemists Medal and in 2019 the British Society for Investigative Dermatology Medal for contributions to research. He is honorary member of 10 International Dermatology Societies

Chris was appointed OBE “for services to dermatology” in the 2018 Queen’s New Year Honours. He is a former President of the European Society for Dermatological Research, the European Dermatology Forum, the British Association of Dermatologists, and the International Psoriasis Council, which he co-founded in 2004.

Chris has published more than 850 scientific papers and is Editor-in-Chief of Rook’s Textbook of Dermatology and Rook’s Dermatology Handbook. He received a lifetime achievement award from the American Skin Association in 2009.

He was part of the team in Michigan that demonstrated that topical retinoids are efficacious in the management of ageing skin.

Clare Kiely is a Consultant Dermatologist, Dermatological and Laser surgeon in  London. She is highly specialised in a wide range of dermatological issues, with a specific interest in photodamage, skin cancer, mohs micrographic surgery, acne, acne scarring, and aesthetic dermatology. She has completed fellowships in Dermato-oncology and Mohs surgery in St Johns institute of Dermatology where she is an Honorary consultant. She is also an honorary lecturer in skin ageing and aesthetics in the University of Manchester where she completed the her masters degree. She is current Chair of the Cosmetic Practice Standards Authority and is on the executive committee of the British Cosmetic Dermatology Group. Dr Griffiths has acted as advisor to the Department of Health’s Review of the Regulation of Cosmetic Interventions led by Sir Bruce Keogh published in 2013. She was instrumental in developing the Health Education England curricula and training frameworks for non-surgical cosmetic interventions (2015) and is a founding member and trustee of the Cosmetic Practice Standards Authority (CPSA), which launched in partnership with the Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP) at the House of Lords in 2018. She is Medical Programme Director for the University of Manchester MSc in Skin Ageing and Aesthetic Medicine, which she founded in 2013 and now recognised as the gold standard in the UK and internationally, and is the Cosmetic Dermatology section editor for Rook’s Textbook of Dermatology.

Her clinical team was awarded BMJ Dermatology Team of the Year in 2018, and in 2021 she was recognised by the British Association of Dermatologists as Clinician of the Year. In July 2024 she commenced her two year term as President of the British Association of Dermatologists. In 2026, she was awarded the American Academy of Dermatology's Presidential Citation for her leadership, education and advocacy serving the profession and patients.

Dr Griffiths is a formidable force in dermatological education and has been instrumental in driving vital patient-safety regulations across the UK aesthetic arena:

• Pioneering Aesthetic Regulation: She acted as a key advisor to the Department of Health’s Review of the Regulation of Cosmetic Interventions (the Keogh Review) in 2013. Following this, she developed the Health Education England curricula and training frameworks for non-surgical cosmetic interventions in 2015.
• Setting the Gold Standard: To further protect the public, she is a founding member and trustee of the Cosmetic Practice Standards Authority (CPSA), which launched in partnership with the Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP) at the House of Lords in 2018.
• Educational Leadership: She is the Medical Programme Director for the University of Manchester MSc in Skin Ageing and Aesthetic Medicine, aprogramme she founded in 2013 that is now recognised globally as the educational gold standard in the field. Additionally, after launching the BAD's British College of Dermatology in 2021, she was appointed as its inaugural Education Vice President in 2023

Dr Richard Barlow is a  Consultant Dermatologist with over 25 years of clinical expertise. As a sub specialist in skin cancer management and cosmetic dermatology, he brings a profound understanding of how to protect, preserve, and renew the skin's structural integrity. His decades of surgical and clinical experience ensure that The Skin Diary formulations meet the highest possible medical standards, delivering exceptional care without compromise.

With over 25 years of experience, he has been a Consultant Dermatologist at St John’s Institute of Dermatology since 1996 and during this time served on the Joint Tumour Service at Moorfields Eye Hospital.

Specialising in skin cancer management, including Mohs’ surgery, cutaneous laser surgery, and cosmetic dermatology, he is a distinguished figure in the field. He was the Founding President of the British Cosmetic Dermatology Group and President of St John's Dermatology Society in 2009/10.

His contributions include representing the BAD and BCDG at what was then the British Academy of Cosmetic Practice 2007 to 2016.

Dr Barlow is a recognised pioneer and leader within the UK's dermatological and aesthetic communities, having dedicated much of his career to elevating clinical standards:

• Founding Leadership: He was the Founding President of the British Cosmetic Dermatology Group (BCDG), playing a vital role in shaping the standards of safe, effective aesthetic medicine across the UK.
• Clinical Governance: He served as the President of the St John's Dermatology Society in 2009/10, guiding and representing one of the most respected dermatological associations in the country.
• National Representation: Showcasing his influence at a national level, he represented the British Academy of Cosmetic Practice as a joint representative for both the BAD (British Association of Dermatologists) and the BCDG from 2007 to 2016, ensuring that clinical safety always remains at the forefront of cosmetic care.
